Kids & Cuppas...
iv just been onto another forum - i never use it but a topic caught my eye... theyre having a huge debate on whether its right or wrong that a child under 5 should be aloud a cup of tea! some are saying their kids have it - others are saying its wrong and everything...
now maybe im a bad mummy but ethan loves a weak coffee with toast in the morning!! after reading the things theyre saying about the tea and how wrong it is i feel so nasty and quite upset now!! ð
please somebody else say their lo enjoys a weak milky coffee!!! ðĒ
Aaralyn has had sips of my iced coffee, lots of cream, but she's energetic enough with out caffeine so I don't give it to her usually, and she doesn't drink soda much but orange soda sometimes...
You're not horrible for letting Ethan have a sippy of your creamy coffee hun ð
he doesnt have a sip... he has a beaker with his toast! ðĒ i dont allow him to have fizzy pop so i suppose thats a good thing - but then the coffee is makin up for that lol!
but i suppose like you say sammie about piercings - i dont like seeing babies with their ears pierced - i think it should be the kids choice when they ask for it - but id never tell the parent what i think - its their kid and if they wanted pierce their ears fair play to em! i suppose i should tell meself this about ethan and his coffee lol!! thats the problem with me - i give advice all the time, but i never take my own advice pmsl!! im useless lol!!
I don't drink tea or coffee myself so it would never enter my head to make either for my kids, only hubby drinks it in this house. Of the two if I had to I'd be more inclined to give tea I suppose but I always think of them as adult drinks really; I must still be a kid then lol
Ask the parents that won't allow there child to have a milky drink if they allow them to have fizzy drink's, sweet's or junk food? I'm sure they will say yes they do ðĪŠ
My kids have a nice warm milky tea or coco but i won't add sugar x
maybe you could try him with something caffine free,my lo has horlicks sometimes,
Georgia-Mae loves her Cuppa teas! ð As do i (although i prefer Earl grey. fruit or green tea now)
Georgie only really has tea when at her Nannas as we encourage Milk or water tbh!
Apparently when me and my brothers were little we had tea all the time, even in our bottles.
Charlotte and George have a sip sometimes but tbh they don't really like tea or coffee. They have milk every morning when they get up and weak squash or water during the day. Charlotte doesn't have fizzy drink at home as we don't drink them that often but I know she will get them at her grandmas, George doesn't like the fact they are fizzy so won't touch it.
I drank tea throughout both my pregnancies (except for the first 12 weeks because it made me sick lol). I was told to avoid anything with caffine in it because it could cause my body to not absorb iron as well...although my blood test showed my iron levels were excellent ð
awwwwww hun. yr not a bad mum. as long as its milky theres no harm, which from what youve said it is
jami loved a cup of tea when she was younger. she used to say '3 sugars please' lol i never put any in of course lololol ive never tried catherine or ben
dont let it upset you. some forums (especially one which im not going to mention) is very judgemental to mums which i think is so wrong. theyre your children and you bring them up how you see fit, not because of how someone has said or what youve read in books. i bring up my kids how i want and sod everyone else
