Helloooooo

Hey all -well this is the first time i've been able to get on the net here - as it's always been 'dodgy'.

It's like blummin fawlty towers!

When i arrived i was practically ignored, not shown around or shown how to do anything (they do everything different here we have to do all the banking for all the departments si i didnt have a clue how to do it!)

People keep telling me how thankfull they are for my help and that i am a star and to ask for anything - when i do i get a cold answer and huff down the phone - like i am causing a problem! And that is just asking where the maintenance guy may be - as there is someone waiting for them.... 😉

I was checking guests in blind with not a clue what to tell them, give them directions or anything! Went to get some tea and it was fried egg with 4 roast potatoes 😲 )

However that is better than tonight - it is dead -tbh they don't need me here! But i'm sat behind this desk with nothing to do! No-one ahs come to let me off for a break and i've had nothing to eat since breakfast! 😀

The porter, maintenance and dm work off a walkie talkie system that can only be heard in certain parts of the hotel - it is a true nightmare.

The sales and events teams swap their extension numbers daily so you can never get hold of them and spend your time taking more messages than calls you transfer.

I feel so lucky to work where i do!

I cannot wait to be home tomorrow and see dp and dd!

I sent dp a text last night telling him i was bored and missed him! I was on a night off so had a bottle of red and asked him if he REALLY would marry me (as we've been together for 8 years now and still haven't booked anything) and he replied 'without question you are my life' 😍

My massage this morning though was GORGEOUS!

I'm back at my Hotel as Duty Manager on Sunday morning - no rest for thew wicked eh???
