Another day off work.
Hi everyone, im guna have a little moan if you don't mind listening for 2. I started back at work at beginning of december after 15months off with Chloe (didn't really want to go back, money probs and all that 🙁 ), i got her in to a nursery just down the road from my house. She goes monday to friday 9:30 till 3:30, she cries every time i leave her, screams and reaches for me. I feel awful for leaving her and want to cry myself 😢 . Since being at nursery she's been constantly poorly, withone thing or another. Sickness bug 🤢 , viruses, ear infections, raging temperatures. As if i don't feel bad enough leaving her when she's well! i think iv only done 4 out of 8 full weeks at work. I just really hope she'll be right one day, else i think im going to have to finish work again. it's completely draining me, working poorly child thats up all night too! 😢
she is new to it all and will pick up ALL the germs going, it will take a while for her immune system to build up a resistance. I remember when Joseph first started going to the childminders, he ALWAYS had the cold.
What is she like when you leave? does she settle quickly?
She will sense how uptight you are, try thinking positively and remaining clam when you drop her off and then make a HUGE fuss of her when you pick her up. She will be running off without so much as a kiss before you know it.
They assure me she settles when iv gone, can't help worrying though. i am quite possitive with her when i drop her off, encourage her to go and play etc. it's when i get out the door and can still hear her screaming right down the other end of the play ground. 🙂
awww hun, I went through the same thing with Aaralyn, not that she was upset going to daycare, but she was always sick.... she had a low white blood cell count for no apparant reason and got everything that went around because her immune system was crap.
Hopefully your LO one will get used to being in nursery and start enjoying it soon, and hopefully she'll build up a better immune system once she's there a little while. I know that doesn't make things easier for you right now though 😘
