digital cameras - photos

what do u do with ur photos?

normally id put them on a dvd-disc but i keep losing them,or they get scratched and refuse to work and so in the past iv lost photos - and as we all know - photos are memories!!

so i was wondering what you do with the thousands we take!! i dont get all of mine delveloped - only important ones like birthdays ect so i can show people.i tend to just store them on my laptop so they can easily be emailed to people!

thing is,iv got that many now (dating back to 2004) that my laptop is dying of memory! its really slow and im having problems with it all the time!! would u advise me put everythin onto photobucket or something or would u not advose that? what do u lot do with yours? im debating wether to upload them all onto my photo bucket account - but then theres the fear of photobucket closing down or having errors and losing everything!!

I have millions in photobucket that I need to save on a disc, tons that were on Marc's computer that I hope photobucket never loses! We have a photo bay here too so I might start printing out some of my favorates.

make a new photobucket album, upload all of the pics into a new folder on your computer (only a hundred at a time) then on photbcket, click uplaod more or something, and it lets you upload all 100 at once really easily when you choose the folder, once theyre uploaded, just delete the phot's from your computer, and upload any more, keep goign till you add them all into photobucket, thats what i do, it doesnt take up any room on yor computer and you have access to them all :D

thats what i was planning on doing - but i didnt know whether i dared to trust photobucket with my pics incase the site died or something!! i might start to slowly upload them al then.

thing is,on my laptop i have them in folders such as 2007 - january 2007, febury 2007 ect...

i know i can have the different folders on photobucket but can i have subfolders within those folders?

I have not done this yet but I would have them on a back up disc too, my friend Kristen (Kris10, who I'm sorry didnt find time to stick around on here 🙁 ) anyway, when she was doing a multiple pic upload on her myspace after she was done, they all disapeared from her photobucket album and she doesn't know why. Thank goodness she had them in her myspace at that point, so just be careful, although I've never heard anyone else with this problem.

im going put em all on photobucket then! seems good and clears my laptop!! i think from now on too i will just put em strate onto photobucket from my camera too! then if i want send em people - i can just send em slideshows or something!

yea, that's pretty much my plan too for sending pics... I just sent Aaralyn's dad and her Grandma the slide shows and videos I did recently.

mine are all in albums which now i know is a bad idea cus kieran isnt even 2 yet, i have 7 so now im bein careful on what i develop lol anyways i also put them on dvds they dont get scratched as they are boxed away and i have alot on my pc still oh and still got alot on the memory cards lol i have too much xxx

i dont need alot of memory cards,iv got a 4gb one which kev got from work - things never need deleting on it lol!

my old camera tho i had about 4 diff memory cards as that wasback in the day where digital cameras were not much a big thing and you could only get 256mb at the max lol!! i remember it coming with a 16mb card and thinking it was so great! lol. thats ethans play camera now!

got up this morning and the first thing i did was come onto photobucket to start uloading all my photos!! im still nowhere near done!! its takin forever lol!!! ahh well - at least they will be safe and my laptop will be clean!!!

i have a photobucket account and always make sure i upload my piccys there as last year i lost loads of my kids pics when my computer completely died 🙁

i also upload a few at a time. never too many as my laptop doesnt like it lol

just gone into the properties of my photo album and im pleased to say (and this is for the year 2007 only) i have 5,588 photos!!! 😀

I back up mine on a pen drive. My sister also has copies of most pictures as they usually include Joseph

My dh has an external hard drive and saves all the pics on that. He can just unplug it and then say, take it up to my mums and plug it into hers and transfer the pics over. I'm not sure how much it was though tbh.
