So p*ssed off!

Mum just phoned and told be about nan (see other post)
and she said my brother went out and got Evie a dummy and mum let Evie have it 😠
because she cried for it so mum has let her have it,
Evie i 21 months
and not had a dummy since she was about 14 months
i could not really have a go at mum about it because my nan is ill and she is upset 🙁
but im so p*ssed off no way is my child having a dummy when it tuck us months to get her off one 🙁
mum has not had Evie for awhile over night maybe she give her it because she was unsettled?
but to just give her a dummy when she knows how hard it was for me and John to take it away
oh it's going straight in the bin and i will defo be having words!

yea, that would make me upset too! I guess go a little easy though given the situation, maybe it might make it a little more forgivable? good luck with getting it back from Evie now!

kieran still has the dummie at night time but not in day, when kyle is born we gonna tell him kyle needs them and hes a big boy now lol be funny. but i would be the same if kieran had been of the dummie so long and was hard to take him off xx

i know what u mean! my MIL has always given ethan the dummy back when i was going thru gettin him off it! it was a few weeks after his first birthday when we lost it and normally id go in the draw get another but i told kev no - and i made ethan go cold turkey lol!! cruel mummy i know haha!! but it worked!! he moaned about it for about 3 nights - the days were fine,it was bed time where the problems started - but i never gave in!!

now i need to get him off his bottle!! i was a naughty mummy and he never goes bed alone,he has a bottle of milk and i just leave him to drink it n drift off.i think thats gonna be a job for me get him off and im hoping to start that soon!

Just do what you did with the dummy hunni that's what i did if he want's a warm drink offer it in a beacker 🙂 you will get there in time 😎

I also did the cold turkey hun,it sounds bad but as hayley said in two or three days they forget about it.
We offered our Ds a glass of milk (sippi cup)before bed time and he gave up his bottle pretty quick but he did take a little longer to settle than usual.
My fil called me "hitler mum" because i didnt give my ds his dummy when he cried. (my nephew will be 5 soon and still has his at night)but once it was gone it was gone for good just stick to your guns. 😘
