Yee-ha!

We've been really worried this week. The strike last week with the DWP meant that our money got real messed up. For the last two days we've hardly had anything to eat and leccy is getting dangerously low. We haven't even got xmas dinner or gifts for one another.

Luckily enough though, Santa thinks I've been a good girl this year. (no idea why!) We got a call today saying that £390 is on the way in the post and Andy's Mum is giving us £100 loan to tide us over til then!

We're really glad because Darla will be away from tomorrow until Monday and we were dreading the thought of sitting bored and penniless a few days before xmas without the baba to keep us company.

Now we can get our Christmas dinner and our PS3! I can buy Andy a few nice things too and I'm getting my new glasses (Foxy lil red ones) and I'm getting my hair done.

This morning we were totally depressed but now it's ok because Christmas isn't canceled after all!

I must admit we were not over happy about christmas this year, we had managed to get the kids presents (just) but that was it. Fotunately Mart got a nice Brucie bonus he wasn't expecting so we are that little bit more out of that dreaded overdraft - well for the mo anyway lol.

Awww, I'm so glad to read this, Great news!! I can totally relate to the whole Christmas worrying thing. I actually have no money this year for Christmas because I'm not getting my first paycheck until the day after 😲 ... Thank goodness for Mike because he's gonna make sure that Aaralyn has a nice Christmas this year 🙂 😍 We're so lucky to have him, and he's gonna be getting a really, really good present from me (just a day late that's all 😊 )

Thank yoo! It's just all been such a smack in the face. It annoys me that you have to prepare for most of the year for an event that goes for one day, but if you don't do it as we didn't, you just end up annoyed with yourself because everyone's having a better Christmas than you! I'll know better next year I guess. It's for the kids after all so i guess that's just going to have to be the thing that stops me being bugged by TV ads for xmas in June! hehe!
