Hi i'm new!!!!
Hi guys i'm new here so just bare with me lol
I am a new mum at 19 and my lil girl Charlie will be 4 months old on xmas eve.
I have come to this site for friendship and advice. Being a mom is an amazing feeling for me and i have no regrets, but sometimes it gets very lonley. having a new baby wasn't as romantic as I thought it would be so now things have become difficult between Charlie's dad and I. We are all still living at my mom's house and while it was good during pregnancy, its now like walking on eggshells constantly!
I so desperatley need my own space to bring up my lil girl but i've now hurt my moms feelings and she has been so supportive that I feel quilty.
I've also had a huge ding dong with my best friend, she aslo had a baby who's 7 weeks younger than Charlie, but when I found out her and her boyfriend were growing drugs in their house AND taking it!!! I felt I had to protect her her little one by telling someone. I told her mom who works in the police as a sargeant. I knew she would be mortified, but I thought rather that than her get arrested.
However she now wants nothing to do with me. And I have had very little support on my decision to speak up.
I feel I have no friends, no home of my own and my relationship is holding on by a thread.
Any advice?
Hi welcome to JP,
Sorry to hear you are having a tough time at the moment. Just to say you will find plenty of support here. Everyone is very friendly and no-one judges.
Your mum will come round, I'm pretty sure deep down she will understand your need to have a place of your own, she will probably know you have really appreciated her support. As for your friend, at the end of the day you felt it was wrong to bring up a child in that situation, which I think took more guts to speak out about rather than keep quiet.
I'm Sarah and I'm mum to Charlotte 3 and George 17 months xx
Hi hunny
Welcome, I am new as well, I'm Hayley and I am about 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby.
Glad being a mum is going well, Xmas Eve baby as well, lots of celebrations for you next week!.
As for advice, well personally I think you did right to speak up, that's no environment for a baby to grow up in and if your friend resents you for it then maybe she isn't a true friend at all.
As for the home situation, your mum might be hurt because she has backed you all the way and might see this as 'Thanks mum but I'm off'.
I would say sit down with her, explain that you're really grateful for everything she has done and that you will always need her advice, love and support but you feel you need your own place.
Maybe things will get better with your partner as well then, hope they do and hope we can chat soon
Hayls x
Thank you both
Its nice to hear support.
Briefly spoke to mom, she understands YAY! 😀
unfortunatly the friend I was talking about above isn't just a friend. Shes actually my cousin.
its a shame, you can pick your friends, but you cant pick your family 🙁
Oh my, that's even worse, well hopefully some family will back your stance hunny to make her see sense! ((HUG)))
Its going to get very interesting,
My cousins mom left me a very teary voicemail thanking me for telling her first which does make me feel a little better.

Hi Sassy,
I'm Becs, 25 and mummy to Georgia-Mae who is soon to be 4!!! How time flies!
You sound a very grounded and lovely woman - what everybody wants in a friend! You have your head screwed on and if your 'freind' cannot see what she has lost go and find somebody else! What you did is best for the baby and the babies family - even if they are not in the mindset to see that - later in life they will!
As for your relationship - i'm afraid most of us have bene there, we all have our ups and downs and times in our realtionshps where things are so hard - so a forum like this is great for you to join! We can all support you share stories and send 😘
WELCOME TO JP! 😀 😀
Hi I'm Kelly, mummy to Caitlin who will be 3 next month!I'm 19.
I had the same problem with my mum, if Cait cried she would pick her up or if I had her she would take her off me, still does it now and then :teeth:. Getting your own place will help alot.
As for your cousin, its a good thing you told, you see so any articles in the new papers saying the parents were on drugs and this happened to the child or something happened to the parent. You tried helping if they didn't like it then its not your fault, you just need to keep your lil girl away from them.
hello sassy and welcome aboard 🙂
