Any one else had them yet? will you be giving money?

i had 4 knocks on my door 2day. first was a lad blatently wanting money for cigarettes or somt, sencond was a girl about 10 seconds after prob wanting money for the same.then about half hour later another lad, i think he may have even been same as first, tried again. all got sent away with nowt.

then abot a minute later there was another knock i got up but refused to answer, tho i could see thru glass abit n i think it was kids really carole singing. but i was annoyed.

we dont get any Carol singers coming to our doors up here. It is more in Shopping centres or at special places we see them and they are then organised and are very good.

I used to love little kiddies coming to sing - but kids these days will do anything for a packet of fags/bottle of cider... 😠

I think it's a nuisance to be honest. I'm not Christian so I don't appreciate the caroles, and I don't like feeling guilted out of money, especially when it's veiled in religion. I observe the commercial side of Christmas because I enjoy sharing the fun with my family and I do help out in the town whenever I can. I've just always had a problem with people appearing at my door and asking for money.
