belly cast

We made my belly cast lastnight. its great. i would highly recommend doing it. lee did it for me, i think it was good for baby n dad bonding also gave us some time together.

my tips if your gonna do one yourself,
cake yourself in the vaseline, really think everywhere. we missed bits so it hurt at times.

cover your floor chair and table. and both wear old clothes.

while your sat waiting for it to dry get oh (or who's doing it) to run u a bath, or get shower ready if u have one.

i have took a pic but batterys ran out so will put it on soon.

we were going to do a belly cast but in the end didnt as they start to crack after a while and i knew i would of been heart broken if i came to in one day and it was snapped or something!! cant wait see the piccys - are you going to paint it? was it someone on here or another forum where their other kids painted their hands and the kids n mummy and daddy put a handprint each on the cast? i thort that was lovely 😍

i havent heard that they dont last, i would spose it depends what you do with it.

my plan is to just to give it a coat of white then put all our hand prints on, nice and simple.

i have cast of my childrens hands from when they was little lewis was only 3 weeks old when he has his done

Where did you get the kit for it and does it not take up a bit of room? Where do you keep it? I'm asking cause I'd love to have one done but this house is a wee bit tiny!

got kit from argos bout £15. i think im either gonna hang it on wall or on a corner shelf, so its not overly huge, depends how big bump is really.

bought some batterys today but they dont work (were only cheap ones, theyll do 4 xmas) so will have to wait till i go in to town prob on friday.

I saw those belly cast things on baby channel about 7 months ago, the inventor was on there demonstrating it- looks wicked! I'd love to do that on next 1 as they weren't out when I had my youngest!

i saw em on baby channel too, was determined to do one.

as promised again sorry it took so long just got batterys.

not dont anything to it yet, so it could do with neatening up.
