im so mad
Ive just got my first house and the gas man came yesterday to check all the gas..he checked the fire cleaned it all out but when he turned it on there was loads of smoke coming out of it..we told him and he said it was dust..then the smoke alarms went off so we had a wave a towel in the air to stop them..so he tuck the fire arapt again and checked it out..same thing happened when he turned it back on..he did this 7 times and it kept smoking...chriss dad told him the fire is faulty and that i need a new one..the gas man said to him said "are you a gas man"..my living room was covered in smoke..my smoke alarms wouldnt stop going off and we was all choking..he then decided to disconect my smoke alarms cause they was pissing him off...i have to get them installed again from the fire bigade..i got so mad with him..i rang his manager and told him that this guy was usless and he was ruining my living room...after all that he capped my fire off and i have to get a new one fitted on thursdy..the same day as my friends mums funeral...i hope they dont send the sameman cause i will throw him out..

Ugh, what an arrogant piece of 😠he was! and unproffesional, if he disconnected your fire alarms, he should have switched them back on as well. Plus he should have asked first!!! is there any smoke damage to anything in your house? because if so I would go to Citizens advice and see if you can get any compensation from the company he works for...if they have any sense they will get rid of him asap.

If you haven't already - I would still tell them you aren't happy. There must have been a lot of smoke to set your smoke alarms off!

well we went back to the house today cause we got out washer..dryer and frige-frezzer and it really smelt of smoke..there coming back tomorrow to fit a new fire..so im going to tell them im not happy..
Don't tell the people that come to your house, they won't do anything, you need to contact the head office of the company, don't speak to the grease monkeys they really wont care. Get the head office details and write to them stating exactly what happened and what they intend to do about it.
