Child Allergy Test

At what age can you have your child allergy tested?
My nephew is severely allergic to peanuts but the family doctor says he is too young to be tested-he is only 2 yrs young.

my fella suffers with anaphylaxis shock due to insect bites (basically a bug bite/sting could kill him!) he has to carry an 'epipen'(adrenalin injection) everywhere withhim which he has to inject into the thickest part of his thigh if bitten/stung.

we asked the doctor(as this can be inherited) if he could do tests to see if ethan has it, we were told 'tests cant be done, you willknow when it happens' which i thort at the time was dam-right rude! but i suppose he has a point!!

what i suggest is everytime he has a reaction take him to a&e - they will test him after a couple of times of being taken in with the same symptoms.
