grr clarks.... very long
my parents got caseys feet measured on sat n bought her some new shoes in 6.5E.
I didnt get much chance to look at them n check fit as she was late for a party and then she stayed at her nanas so i didnt get to look till today.
They were huge, was gaps all round so i took her to a different clarks to see what they thaught.
2 women measured her feet again both got 6.5E but both agreed the shoes didnt fit and she shouldnt be wearing them. said to take them back with receipt and they would change them.
So i got receipt of my mam and we headed to shop, and they tried to fob me off saying that they were the right size and she needed space to grow.
I said 'yes i know that and i understand what your saying but im not happy, i darent let her run around or go p n down stairs in them.'
'well you can try a different style, these are quite a deep shoe but she needs the 6.5 and we dont do smaller width than E.'
I said fine ill try different ones, well try a boot. loads better, you could see it sraight away, so i said ill have them and pay the difference.
So went to pay, and manageress tells me they wouldnt normally have done this as the measurement was right and they'd been worn outside (not much, was no scratches n v little dirt on soles) but out of good will shed change them.
Like Hell!! why would they agree to change them if they werent in the wrong? How can one shop say theyre fine and another say theyre not?
She obviously thaught she could get away with it because im young.
Ill not be using that branch again, will be back to my local i think.
wow that was longer than i thaught
I would complain to head office, that is unacceptable. and what a cheek that manageress had 😲
I know its stupid!!Caits nan brought her some new shoes, tried them on and everything was fine. I put her new shoes on her and put her back in the buggy, went to walk away when I realised one shoe was darker than the other, apparently they gave me one shoe that had been on display :x. Serously we pay enough for their shoes they should make sure they are actually new out of the box etc. So then had to chose another pair, got her trainers in the end.
thats terrible. cant believe the cheek of that woman but as you said they were obviously guilty as they changed them
I thought Clarks' policy was if you have receipt and you weren't happy with it they would refund or exchange no problems! If that's the case she was downright rude to you and I would complain to head office!!
It's ok saying they need to have room to grow but if they're slopping around thier feet how can they walk, run or anything else!
I have always took Mia to clarks for her shoes since she has been about 10 months old and they have always been fine with me until about 6 weeks ago when she needed the next size up! i went and got her feet re measured and she was a 6.5G instead of a 5.5G which she had been wearing, well they went out the back to get the shoes they had in that said to come back out and tell me they had none! I wasnt very happy as I was then told to come back next week! so my daughter had to wear shoes which didnt fit her, of course she didnt as she had other shoes but thats not the point! well I went back the next week to be told to come back the next week as the only shoes they had in her size didnt fit as she as a high instep! well this happened about 4 times al together and then I just gave up and havent been back since! I have bought her 2 new pairs of shoes from Next and they fit her alot better than the ones Clarks were trying! I am going to take Mia to My New Shoes just before xmas and get her a nice pair of new fitted start right shoes! Clarks have blown it with me now! ðŸ˜
just to make you laugh even more (as its all i can do) caseys feet were measured in both stores at 6.5E i looked closely at the boots and theyre 6.5F.
Thankfully theyre boots and she can get away with the extra width. However that does mean technically she had no reason to argue that they were the right size and she shouldnt be exchanging them.
I have bought her claks shoes since about 10/11 months as my mam wants her to have proper fitting shoes. however im not to worried now shes been walking over a year.
