Had a great weekend
Hi
Since all my threads are usually negative, I thought I'd write a positive one for a change.
After all the strife I've had recently I heard from a friend that I haven't seen in over a year. She lives in near my home town, and I was going there this weekend any way to see my mum, so we arranged to meet up.
Had late lunch and what I expected to be an hour or two catch up turned into an all night session of beer, rugby (both cheering for South Africa to beat England, we're both Welsh) and playing pool. Got in a taxi to see her home safely, and then it happened..... She was nice to me, and offered her support. And what did I do but go and get all teary. My emotions are still all over the place at the moment and having no friends near me, I had forgotten how it feels for somebody just to be there for you.
Anyway, I saw her home safely, being the gent I am, and then got home myself at 1am. Got up at 7am (don't know how) and went down to the seafront to catch the sunrise. See the pics below.
To add to these points, in the hairdressers I bumped into a girl that I had been to school with 15 years ago, and at the petrol station I bumped into a mate that I haven't seen or spoken to in a few months.
What a weekend!!!!!

It's nice to hear you are starting to get back on track.
The photo's are amazing too! x
Thanks guys. Just goes to show me that nice things can happen as well as all the sh1t.
Probably going to meet up again in 2 weeks when I'm back in the area again. Possibly some of the others from the old crowd will make it out too.
Maybe I'll get some more good pictures too.
sounds like you had a good weekend (and I was cheering for SA as well!!)
Beautiful pictures. Wish I could take photos that well
Yes, it was a good weekend. Looking forward to a similar one this weekend coming. Think my weight loss plan might come unstuck with a Saturday night on the beer with friends, and three nights in Dublin for work this week. I can see some Guiness getting drunk, and with no available gym I won't be getting my exercise.
Not sure how I managed to get the pictures to turn out as well as they did. Must be the camera as it was early, I hadn't slept much, and I was probably still drunk from the night before.
Thanks. Maybe in a few years I'll be good enough to do it for a living and quit my day job. No plans to do that just yet though.
Sounds good, just a shame we got to have a reality check :(. Them pics are ace, love them!!!!Don't worry about your weight its nearly xmas, everyone puts a lil on. Where were the pics taken????? x
I don't plan to put any on over Christmas, as long as I can maintain my weight between Christmas and New Year I will be happy. Then afterwards continue with the loss. It has to go! I've started so I'll finish!
It took me long enough to start on this whole weight loss thing that if I stop then it will never start again. And I'm doing it for me and not because anybody else is telling me to.
Pictures were taken on the sea front in Penarth. Just south of Cardiff. I was born in Cardiff and spent my first 9 years there, then 9 years in Penarth before I went to University, and kind of forgot how to get home. Except for when I had a ruck sack full of washing for mum to do. LOL!
