Rant alert, Rant alert!!!!!!!
I'm sooo p:angry:d at Asda.
Ordered the shopping to be delivered yesterday as I went out Christmas shopping with my mum yesterday and Martin wanted to get some jobs done in the house, last thing he wanted to do was drag the kids around the supermarket on a Saturday (it's always murder at our local Asda on Saturday's). So thought getting it delivered would be so much easier than going Friday night with the kids being ill (let alone contagious)!
How bloody wrong can you get!
Driver turned up at 1.10pm yesterday...10 minutes after delivery slot ends 😛 Mart gets given two bags...in them 3 loaves of bread, bag of chips, roast potatoes, ham and yoghurts. Then asked to sign the note...Mart asks where the rest of the shopping is. Driver goes looks on van again...nothing else...Mart shows him the delivery note...where's the Dog Food...coffee etc. Driver 🤔 Mart refuses to sign delivery note. Driver goes.
Mart rings helpline...some help that is, a woman that doesn't understand him and he doesn't understand her...eventually she says someone will call from our store. 1 1/2 hrs later no call, Mart chases call up...another 1hr...rings AGAIN! 20 mins later supervisor calls asking the problem...received about 10% of shopping..where is the rest? Has no idea...do WE know where it could be..WTF?! By this time no more deliveries we will have to wait until tomorrow (today). Martin says that isn't good enough, we have NO food 😬 Supervisor basically say he would have to pick it himself and won't. Shopping will be on first van of the day tomorrow (today) and be here shortly after 11am...it is now 1.25 and no f:angry: ing shopping.
I called the customer helpline and am now awaiting the supervisor to call me back. After the helpdesk told me they have no idea where my shopping is.
Some heads are going to roll 😠😠ðŸ˜
Shame, Asda are normally pretty spot on. I would write a letter of complaint to their head office and explain the situation to them, take down peoples names when you phone too so you have some leway with complaining, otherwise it's easy for them to deny knowledge. Log all conversations and what was said, and include that too. The Supervisor sounded like a complete donut from what you said, and he needs reporting, nobody in a position of authority should have a relaxed attitude when it comes to customers, it is us as the consumer that helps pay their wages, and they tend to forget that.
Keep us posted
Yes, keep on complaining, especially to head office, and they will sort things out for you.
Supermarkets spend loads of money advertising, and since customers tend to be loyal to supermarkets unless circumstances dictate otherwise (bad service), losing you as a customer is worth a great deal to them - after all you will probably spend £1000's with them over your lifetime as a happy customer!
I remember a few years back I bought a birthday cake for Ben which when we cut open appeared to have a bunch of ants living in it! Now bearing in mind it would be difficult to prove that the ants hadn't got into it at our house, I took it back and they immediately apologised, gave us the choice of any other cake they had on sale as a replacement, and also any bottle of wine up to the value of £10 as an apology.
We chose the best cake they had and a really nice bottle of wine 😀 😀
bloody muppets i just thought things liek this happened to me ,, but youve proven me wrong it is the most frustrating thing ever and they makde it even worse by trying to make you out as the gulity party like asking if you know were it is ,,like how the hell lol i agree with asda shopping on a satruday ares is so bloody big now takes us about 2 hours to get around it i dont go know more i just go to iceland coz i spend way to much in asda to much to distract me with the clothes and stuff i hope your shopping turns up soon and igve who ever is responsible a right good ðŸ˜
i hope your shopping turns up soon hon. i dont think that these people realise the inconvienience that stuffing these things up causes. if i were you id lodge a formal complaint. ya never know you may get a discount off your next shopping bill or something. xxx good luck hon x
Still awaiting a call...we are due to be going to friends at 2.30pm. I'm so annoyed ðŸ˜
I know what is going to end up happening here, I will have to cancel the order and they won't have to locate my shopping. Mart said they were all too eager to just cancel the order yesterday, rather than find and deliver it.
I'm off to find the store number myself and try and get the 'supervisor' to talk to me.
they should give you a free shop and vocuhers and stuff grrr 😛
I have tried the actual store number which is listed on the store locator on their website to hear 'the number you have dialed has not been recognised' 😬
Rang the helpdesk again...seem to be getting the same woman 🤔 but she is trying her best for me I'll give her that. She took my mobile number as I explained we were going out. She is going to try again to get someone to ring me. She went through what we hadn't had delivered...I said no that's what we have had delivered, nothing else. She said 'That's it?'...erm yes why do you think I've kicking up such stink that someone needs to ring me back 😉
I've had to return something to Asda before and they refunded my money no questions and got an apology.
I once got a chicken from Sainsbury's...started cooking it to find the giblets were still inside, even thought it was supposed to be without. I just emailed and quoted a few references off the packaging and told them I'd had to throw it away (there was still waste inside the guts 🤢 smelt disgusting). I got a £5 voucher just like that. It was almost double what I paid for the chicken.
Lol this is a bit of a saga haha! Just thought I best check out my order...apparently it is pending....
🤔
Oh dear. I think I will go buy it next time, from Morrisions. I've been totally put off of their home shopping after this.
We used to shop with Morrisons, but they can't touch Asda for Price..

Well just got off the phone with the STORE MANAGER! He apologised profusely to me telling me I would be compensated and how sorry he was etc. He promised me my shopping would be on the van first slot tomorrow...(slightly being the skeptic, heard this one before) and again so sorry.
Told him there isn't a lot else can be done but won't be happy if shopping is missed again. Made sure he knew we wanted it now and not tomorrow but as he can't do anything else then I will have to wait...longer!
He sounded v.v. sheepish, explained that somehow my order went missing, no idea how or where (I have a feeling another customer is extremely pleased with another £40 worth of shopping for free), when it was realised my shopping was in oblivion, they moved my order to today...only put it in load zero...which they don't actually have, nor are able to look at, hence no shopping today. So after, as the store manager put it 'a comedy of errors' the basically dropped a huge b 😠ck lol!
omg hun. ive just read through yr post and its like a bleeding carry on film 🙃
id be fuming too. i hope you get yr shopping AND some compensation
oo dear was just thinking i might do an online shop this week as we always spend to much and get nothing but am having second thaughts now.
hope u got ur food and some extras
oh dear!!!
i get really arsey if they dont put in the spaghetti we should be having for tea let alone all of my shopping going missing!!!
i like asda prices in store but i find that when i do an order with tescos's i rack up to about £70 and then when i get my shopping it comes to a pleasant £58 because of all the BOGOF's and special offers where as asda its the bloody opposite instead of £70 it ends up being over £80 which irks me for the day as i cant go round the corner and treat myself to the 3 bottles of zinfandel for £10!!!
i hope you get your shopping and a big fat brucie bonus for causing you major grief!!!
Well Mart got the shopping this morning...and they sent all of it 😀
Have no idea what compo they are planning on giving but watching my bank account to see if they take anything out, I'm am expecting it all for free...watch this space...
I have used asda online shopping 3 times and all three times had alot of stuff missing / hardly no life left in it. 1ST time was all my meat had 1 day b4 use by date refused it sent it bk, next time i put a note on asking them to plz give a longer use by date and got given no meat @ all and 3rd time i was missing alot of shopping too, each time i phoned them and was compensated something like 20% of the bill, but after the 3rd time i gave up on them and will never use asda online again.
well folks I have something interesting to share with you all!!!!
A friend of mine used to be a delivery driver for asda.
I told him about some occasions where i've ordered a shop and 9 times out of 10 there was always stuff missing. So I had to ask, why have Asda not got their finger out of their 😠yet!!
He then told me that most (thankfully not all) the drivers would dip into peoples shopping and nick stuff here and there 😲
Wow thanks for warning us! TBH after that fiasco I've not shopped online since. I had to chase them up for my money back and only received £10 off in the end. I don't think they could have give a monkeys really, I felt like such a valued customer NOT!
Its a nightmare though isnt it, its supposed to be more conveniant especially for mums who have little access to the supermarket or who work full time! 😬
after my c-section I couldnt drive for 2 months so being able to do food shopping online was a god send. My biggest problem with food shopping is going through the ailses and buying rubbish I dont need. I thought thats why i'd benefit.
BE WARNED NO ONE IS SAFE FROM THE ASDA DRIVER!!
