So pleased for dp

as some of you may of seen on threads before

Dp and i set up our own business last year - he was constructively dismissed from his job as Area Manager for an Industrial Clenaing firm - where he was paoched to from another firm two years previous!

Anyway we had a really rough year, nearly lost our home nad have quite a few debts now! I went back to work as he could not get a job due to crappy refernces - or moving to the other end of the country - which we couldn't afford to do!

He's been getting in business steadily and it's been a struggle financially as my wages (which are not fab) are supporting a house as well as his venture!

However he's just bagged a really good contract for a hotel chain, and two other good contracts, plus what he has already! He's some potential clients (fairly big) for this May!

I'm so proud of him! 😀 😀

He's trained everyone in his last two firms and their knowledge of certain services were only learnt through dp. There standards have dropped and he's picking up what they are proving unable to do adn more!

Sorry i am bursting for him!

That's great - you're obviously really pleased! So will he be managing cleaners for these new contracts then?

Well he trained his brother in what he does a few years back and both of my sisters's boyfriends.

They are fully trained in what dp does - so he can use them for now! 😉

Some of the work he can do on his own, but as they use caustic and other harsh chemicals, tools etc and have to work on roofs, and in confined spaces, sometimes or using lifters or scaffolding then there has to be atleast two persons present for health and safety!

This means there'll be lots of Fire Risk Assesments for me to type out, quotes, invoices, letters etc etc etc...but atleast it's to line our pockets and no-one else's 😀

Aww, that sounds great ! Really pleased for you. Also, good that he knows the guys he'll be using, as they're less likely to try and slack off the job! lol

Very true - but he's hands on anyway! Perfectionist and workaholic! 😉
