erm....
hair brush and bobble
dressing gown
I was in and out within a few hours second time but in 6 days first time as she was prem. I guess you just have to pack for a night and then if you need more send someone to get stuff.

i was in for 3 days. I wasnt prepared and thought i would be out soon too. but the shock made me realise that a few hours in hospital is a bit quick! 😲
If you're planning to breastfeed then plan to avoid bottles and dummies, and make sure you pack the bf helpline phone numbers in case you need them. Hospitals should be supporting mothers to breastfeed if they choose but they're understaffed and some staff aren't personally supportive and/or don't understand the issues. You might need more experienced/informed help, all these helplines are staffed by trained volunteers, all mothers who have breastfed for at least 6 months, longer for some organisations.
(I could say 'better still stay at home anyway' but I won't climb on that soapbox, LOL)
ABM 0870 401 7711 and it's open every day from 9.30am to 10.30pm
NCT 0870 444 8708 don't know the open times.
BFN 0870 900 8787 from 9.30am to 9.30pm
LLL 0845 120 2918
what about your address book with your friends and familys numbers in so they can be called from hospital lol...... saves you having to go outside with mobile xx
sugar said:the dummy sistuation most hospitals give u a little cup of sterilizing solution babe to put your dummy in so that its all nice and sterilized for your precious baby so dont worry but the ones u can buy in the plastic case r already sterilized as long as u dont open the case hunni
