Just saying hello again!!

Hope this message finds you all well.

I've not been on for a while with a lot happening in my life I just haven't found the time. I moved the wife and kids out to their new house two weeks ago now, and have been struggling to make sense of the mess that was left.

Took the opportunity to do some of the outstanding DIY that has been put off too many times. I have been living in my living room, literally, for the last two weeks as I have gutted my room, the girls room and the hall to get them decorated and have some new carpet laid. Finished the decorating last night and the carpet guys are here as I type fitting the new carpets.

Once they're done I can start moving things back upstairs. Hooray. I'll also be able to build the girls new beds so that they can come and stay soon. I'll also be able to empty my little boys room of the junk dumped in there.

Last thing I am waiting for is my new bed. That won't be here until 5th October but it will be worth the wait, having been sleeping on the sofa for the last 3 months.

Anyway, I'll speak to you all again soon.

Hey! welcome back 🙂 sounds like you've been very busy making a nice home for your kids! 😀 ... I hope you're feeling better about your situation now and you're healing from all that you've recently been through 😘 Life sucks sometimes, but then, damn! It can be so good some times too 😀

It's good to be back. Still got plenty to do around the house before the kids can come and stay in safety but I'm getting there.

Looking forward to taking them out this weekend. Going to Legoland as long as the weather holds out.

I'll try and post a before and after photo so that you can see some of the changes that I've made.

would love to see pics. then you can come and do my house hehehe

Legoland is a pretty good place to go. We have annual passes this year (did once before as well) and try to go a few times a year.

Plenty to do for young and old, timid and adventurous. Plus with the annual pass if you're bored one day or a little skint its free to get in. Helps that its only an hour away from home as well.

sounds cool 😀 but im a bit far away now. i used to live in west sussex, which was nearer. now im in yorkshire lol

You sure have been busy! Hope things are starting to get a little better now. Have loads of fun at Legoland - we wouldn't mid going there but it is a bit far really. We may go at some stage as my husbands family live in Bucks, so if we ever get the chance to see them again we may make a holiday out of it!

So here's the before and after pics. The top four are the hallway and stairs, and the last one is my bedroom. Still some work to do moving in furniture and awaiting delivery of my nice new bed (my first king size bed, though I deserved a treat). I added a picture of the girls room as well but this has only had new carpet.
