Hopefully we've found our own place...

I just want to ask for fingers crossed and good wishes for Aaralyn and I. I have been hoping for this place to work out and it's looking better and better. I would be the "groundskeeper" of a historic farm in a town near by where I live now (the town my best friend Karyn lives in) We would live in a very small efficiency cottage just off the main house (which is now a historic museum) but we would have 7 acres of land to have fun on and would be living right on the same lake my friend lives on. We could canoe to each other's houses :D.

So, went and saw it today and got the official tour of the main house and everything. The lady who is in charge of renting it is my best friends husband's best friend's mother (still with me hehe) so I have a very good chance of getting it. I would be responsible for maintaining the grounds through the seasons other than winter, which I would absolutely LOVE doing!!

There's a little clencher though... ready for this... the main house is supposed to be haunted by the original family members who it belonged to for centuries (since the 1600's when it was built) 😲 there was a paranormal society who recently stayed there over night and recorded all kinds of activity there. If you'd like to read about it there's an article, PM me and I will send you the link... very interesting stuff, even just learning the history of the house and the property had been fun reading for me recently. I felt very comfortable and not frightened at all when I was in the main house today and was even in both rooms that are supposed to have the most "ghostly" activities going on. I actually felt extremely "at home" while I was there.

So, keep your fingers crossed, if we do get it and I hope we do, sounds like maybe we'll have some extra "people" lookin out for us 😲 😜 (and some of you already know about Aaralyn's "specialness" for lack of better word lol (sorry Mitch, if you've read this far, I know you are probably thinking I would be nuts to move into such a place) It's really cool reading if any one is interested let me know.

Thank you guys!! If this works out I will be soooo happy!! It's perfect for us and Aaralyn would be able to attend all the children's functions they have there. And when she starts kindie next year she would be going to school and riding the bus with her 2 best friends, KC and Tyler, and they would look out for her for sure! It's tiny but very cozy and we could make something really cute of it I'm sure. The rent is perfect too plus I'd get 100.00 off rent for cutting the grass and maintaining the gardens in the summer... get discount off rent for doing something I love to do? Sure why not!! 😀

Oh wow how cool would that be! I'd love a job like that too I really hope you get it and have an amazing time working and living there. Good fun for Aaralyn too, imagine inviting school friends round to a place like that.

The house sounds absolutely AMAZING!!! As for the 'extra' residents, as long as you feel at home hun, there's nothing to fret! Before we moved where we are now we had a young boy that 'lived' with us lol!

Thanks Stacey, when I went there on Sunday, I had the tour of the whole main house and even put a finger to the doll on the bed in Maria's bedroom, that is supposedly the most haunted room... I felt quite peaceful in there :).... Maria seems like a good soul, I've been reading up on her lately, she was quite an interesting and "ahead of her time" gal!

awwwwwwwww. well it does say theyre happy spirits so you never know Aaralyn might make a friend 😀
