Well handing my notice in went fine - she was rather quiet and didn't really say much apart from she'll miss me and blah blah!

I even agreed to work an Early on Friday to help out - HOWEVER

I have just been told by the chef that in the Daily meeting, she and two others were really slagging me off saying how i won't cope and will have targets to hit blah blah! 😛 😠

I'm fuming!!! I currently work in a 25 bedroom hotel which is ALWAYS quiet and i never have anything to do - so they've never seen what i am capable of! I want to leave for a challenge - where i worked when i was 19, i was a supervisor in a hotel chains head office, central reservations and was the only person (out of 45) to hit my target of £150,000 worth of rooms sold a month!! Plus i took 15 hours a week out of a normal res agents hours to do extra duties such as stationary orders etc! I was even sent to other hotels to train people in reservations there! 😜

I'm considering telling her to stick Friday and be awkward! Either that or say i'll only work it if they pay me the money they owe me on Monday - as i know they are stuck! And that i know what was said! I realise people will slag you off when you leave - but grrrrr

They are all ex staff of the hotel i am going too - none of them have worked there for over 2 years and it's now not family run it's been taken over by a chain and is not the hotel they left!

They are all very stressed with this little place - it makes me giggle!

Well done girl, bet you're glad that working day is over! Really pleased that she didn't start crying again, imagine how awkward that would have been! If it was me I would probably still do the early Friday just to make sure they'd have no reason to be annoyed and not pay me, but I certainly wouldn't be over-friendly with her!
She obviously just don't know what you're capable of and is probably secretly jealous that you're off to do better things while she's stuck in a job she doesn't seem very happy in. Oh well, that's not your problem! 😜

I actually cannot work the Friday as dp has just had the doctor out to dd - she's been out of it the last two days and tonight she slumped even worse! She's a really high temperature and very lathargic (sp)

My poor baby has Tonsilitis - she rang me crying saying she has litus - and wants mummy to cuddle her!

I'm choked! I feel such a bad mother!! 😢 She won't be going to nursery and dp has jobs on so i cannot come into work!

Aww sweetie, it's not your fault she has tonsilitis! She just loves you lots and that's why she called wanting you to cuddle her 😘
