ive been having panic attacks for the last few weeks i think im learning now when ones coming on and i can try an calm down before it hits me it was getting to the point were i was getting worried, i had one the other night before sleeping at a m8s house an i really thought i needed help had visions of ending up in a padded room or something i think it must just be the pressure of being 7 months preg and moving out for the first time its all a bit much and maybe there a way of letting all of that out in fact just writing this is making it feel better i aint told know one about them well i told joe but not in great detail coz i know hes so excited about moving i dont want to bring him down
wel its late well its very ealry in the morning now ive said goodbye to mum an dad best be off to bed
Hunni your mum will always be there for you it's not like you live 100's of miles apart like you say she is just a bus ride away 😘
it can be scarey setting up home i know when me and John first set up John was working nights and mum lived 10 mins away i would often kip at mum's LOL because i haterd been alone and mum always made a fuss over me and it felt good to have some motherly love 😍
Aww Pat what are you like! why didnt you tell me how you was feeling? you know I am here for you to listen to you and try to make you feel better! and you know you are welcome round my house anytime this week! your welcome to sleep here too if you dont wanna stay there alone! 🙂 It is a scary time getting your own house and having your own family but look at me! If I can do it am sure you can hun! 😀 xxx
Aw you poor hun. I felt the same when I was pregnant- I ws horribly emotional all the time and it is hard moving away from home- its familiar, safe and all you've ever known and to feel as if you're losing that is really hard. Could you arrange a weekly regular time to see your mum as that would help to know that you have that as a fixed arrangement.
Regarding the panic attacks, the key is your breathing. I used to run an anxiety management group and the best technique I found is to count your breathing- breathe in slowly to a count of 3 and then breathe out to a longer count of 4 or 5. As long as your out breath is longer than your in breath the panic will subside as this technique slows your heart rate down to the normal level. Panic attacks are horrible and can suddenly come when your're not even feeling particularly anxious, try to recognise the signs and use positive thinking when they happen- eg. instead of thinking "oh no, here it comes again, I'm going to lose control" try to think, "ok, I can handle this, its unpleasant but it will pass soon and I'll be fine". Research has shown that its your thoughts that continues the cycle of panic so if you can adjust your thinking, you'll be half way there.
I hope you feel better soon! 😘
😘 aaawwwww... Kimbe you made me want to call my mom today 😍 (too early to call her just yet here though)
You're mom will be around alot when you have Paige... and when she's not, you'll be so busy with the baby, you won't notice (yes, you will, you'll be calling her for help 😲 hehe)
I get panic attacks sometimes too, thank you Angelbaby for your insight on that as well. Just try your best to relax... I hope you get nicely settled in this weekend and then it will feel like your "home". I also send wishes for you parents to have a wonderful safe trip to hun 😘

I've been away from home for years and I still sometimes have evenings when I would like to be sat in my old bedroom with all the comforts I had there. It's quite an emotional feeling. I expect you'll still spend loads of time with your mum; meeting in town for lunch and to shop and take the kids to the park and things 🙂
hunnie i know how u feel. my mum moved 3oo miles away 7 years a go, i knew she would be happier but i used to see her every day and even now still miss popping in for coffee and having loads of fun with her. she has just gone home after a week here with me and i feel really lost again. u learn to live with it coz u have to. she will always be there for though i'm sure 😘 😘
aww thank you 😀
