Hate the bank

ok, its my fault, but i can still have a child like strop about it.

We wrote a cheque an AGE ago. we had held on and held on, trying to not spend the money so it would clear, but we really needed it in the end.

We knew it might bounce but just figured we would have the money a few days after so we would pay the thing in cash and bear the charge.

No, the bank decided to honour the cheque. So they have taken my last £30 that i had to last me till tuesday and made my account £90 over drawn.

So now we are screwed. I have to try and find £4 for some nappies. Thought i'd got past scrimping about like this and it is making me not a happy bunny 🙁

O hun thats not good. I had to get an overdraft on mine they gave me £250, can't you get a bigger overdraft?? I know its not really a good thing but if your stuck it helps out a lot.

in my life i have only ever had one bank charge 🙂 and nno prob with my bank.
i wouldnt dream of having an overdraft because i no i would go silly with it,
most of my money stays in the bank.i just live on what i have on me like if i have no money in mypurse i class my self as skint lol,,

faye isnt it the banks falt for letting the cheque go through even though there was no money in your account? xx

they said the charge would have been more for a bounced cheque than for going over my limit. and they have to honour a cheque if there are some funds available or something like that!

Faye, have you been in there to talk to someone?? When I had a DD come out they waived it because I went in there and spoke to them. I think banks are so stupid and the amounts they charge if you go Overdrawn. Theres a lot being said about banks lately so talk to someone to see if it can be waived.

oh no hun.....we got charged 40 quid once coz i didnt have 11 pound in my account for this charity 😀

The charges are ridiculous. once we have cleared our overdraft we are going to claim them back for the last 6 years! my friend just got £1800!!!

I wish the banks would do that here... good luck hun, hope it gets better soon (it will! 🙂 )

u dont have too clear ur overdraft too get charges bk phone them now they have to listen too u all u need too do is consult them if they dont honour it u can claim XXXXX trust me go too ur cab they will do it for u if u dont now u gonna get charged for everyday u overdrawn
