random hot water query
ok. in my old house we had a combi boiler, turn on the hot water and out it came!
in the new house we have a tank, so i know it takes about 45mins to warm up enough for a good big hot bath.
does anyone have any idea how many loads of washing i would get out of a full tank. only at the moment i am leaving it turnedon whenever i do anywashing, but i dont want to be wasting money for no reason!

Only thing when you turn it off hun, it doesn't keep the water warm so eventually it goes cold.
Your washing machine should heat up the water anyway.

how many pipes does you washer have at the back connected to your water mains??
if its just one it will be connected to your cold water and your washer will heat the water up - its more energy efficient. i think all washers produced in last 3-4 years only have one pipe though i could be wrong!!!

yeah, mine runs off hot and cold pipes, so it has some expectation of the water being hot to begin with! lol

Mine just has a cold pipe only.
mines has 2 pipes but can be a hot or a cold fill 😀
