Behavioural Problems
Hi everyone, nice to be here. My name is Dobbin and I have two adorable children, a son who's nearly 4 and a lovely laid back little boy and a girl aged 7 with behavioural problems, especially at school. My daughter's problems stem from a condition called SPD (Semantic Pragmatic Disorder)and anyone who's read Babs's post on here will know that she has a website to help parents with that. It's through her that I found this site. My daughter has violent outbursts at school, due to frustration with not being able to communicate properly. She has an almost photographic memory for detail and speech but cannot understand what is being said or why someone acts a certain way. It's not all bad news though, because of her condition she is good with computers and has many talents associated with the autistic spectrum and she is a naturally friendly and loving little girl. Anyone who's having trouble finding a way to deal with an awkward child please ask for some advice. I am not a doctor or an expert per se, I just know how to deal with my daughter and many little tricks I've learned have come in handy for other mums - with or without problem children! I'll be glad to hear from you.
Hiya Dobbin welcome to JP. Im sure you will be able to offer support to people who have behavioural issues and also maybe recieve some advice from other parents.
I have worked with ASD kids for 2 years and found it hard but rewarding work 😀 Im now training to be a primary teacher!!
