for all sane parents!!!!
please, please, please NEVER agree to have your childs party at home!!
i just spent the last 4 hrs pulling my hair out
PMSL!
Sorry i shouldn't laugh - but why do we always regret these things! ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaa
After seeign the way some of Georgie's ''friends'' at nursery behave i decided against it this year! lol
honestly 15 mins in and me and dh looked at each other and both said at same time......................... never again!!
i wud never have a kids party..i aint that silly ð
how many did you have there hun
iestyns birthday was a couple of weeks ago, we had 2 of his friends here and that was bad enough
we had
our two
8 from his school class
and the two girls from next door
12 kids = little or no sanity left!! i havent decided which it is yet, keep doing things and thinking no sanity, then i do something sensible and am reassured that maybe a small bit has been retained!!
ðē ðē your brave ðē
Gave up having kids parties at home when they started nursery LOL ð . Mine only ever have theirs at the bowling/Brewsters/Leisure Centre. DD's b'day at the end of feb is booked with Brewsters and ds's when it comes I think we're going to the pictures with a couple of his pals ð .
My friend just had a sleep over for her dd's 9th b'day last night, she had 3 friends stay over from school ~ my pal says it was an absolute nightmare!!
this is something i will never do. i learned from my mates bad experienes with parties for her 2 boys ð
ðĪŠ You are mad hun!!
I like the idea of having a softplay party etc where everything is done for you
I think you need a relaxing night now- a bubble bath and glass of wine or some choc
Oh no don't scare me,are kid's parties really bad? Dd is at playgroup now and I'm planning on having a party for her in the summer at home.
Awww sorry to hear it was so stressful, bet they all had fun though! Hope you get a chance to put your feet up this evening and chill out. ð
I'm gonna be a real pooper to this discussion - I love doing parties for kids!
Keep the guest list to a minimum, state a time on the invitations and stick to it - 2 hours is plenty, have a theme to keep things together. We did a pirate party with all the prizes wrapped in gold and gold chocky coins etc. Pirate flags all over the place and games were for 5 people so kid 6 always lost and had to walk the plank - a board on the floor to be walked across while wearing a blindfold to get a gold prize of a plastic whistle or something little like that. Last year we did jungle stuff, cuddly lions, tigers for main prizes and bugs, snakes and spiders for the losers. Keep the games organised and active so the kids get worn out and have lunch halfway through the party followed by something gentle like pass the parcel. I have great fun planning my daughter's parties and now my son is getting older he'll have some fun at home too.
