The night we met,
Was a dream come true,
I’d never met such a,
Wonderful, caring man like you.

Days went by, and months turned to years,
We got to know each other properly,
Sharing our happiness and our fears,
But always being there for each other,
Throughout the hardest years.

I looked into your eyes,
And saw a love that was oh so true,
A feeling that I’d never experienced,
Something I wasn’t able to control,
The way I felt about you.

We grew closer to each other,
Sharing our life plans, being with each other,
Making our future plans,
To spend the rest of our lives together.

We had such a special love,
A chemistry that no-one else would ever feel,
When two people fall in love,
They experience a love so real.

You had my love, my trust and commitment,
I never wanted to be with another,
To be in your arms and your life,
Was all I wanted forever and ever.

Not only were we married,
We was soul mates too,
When something got you down,
I shared the pain too.

So what I’m saying to you,
No matter how far apart we are,
I will always hold a piece of your heart,
Should you need me, you can still count on me.

You know I will always care,
Should you ever need a friend,
I will always be there,
To take away your pain,
And to dry up all your tears,
So they don’t fall again,
And that you don’t have to live in fear
