Its alright where I am, Cambridgeshire in East Anglia, but have seen more reports this morning about flooding in Doncaster and more heavy rain is expected over the weekend.
This will certainly be a task for our new Prime Minister!!
I count myself very fortunate that we havent been hit as bad as other people and really hope that insurance companies pay out although this wont make up for all the personal belongings that are lost ð
x
hey we are ok here in grimsby! but alot of other ppl from round here have had probles, we are just lucky our street was ok, thank god!
awwwwww bless you. im in yorkshire which was one of the worst hit. although were lucky as were pretty much on a hill and we had new flood defenses built after my town flooded in 2000. they held up which is great, but a town 7 miles away was hit bad.
We are fine. We dont seem to get any major problems from the rain. Must be the geography of the area. X
hi..it was really bad here..we had to move all our furniture upstairs.. now they saying on the news that's it coming back on Saturday...and the council ringing us saying we might be evacuated.. so I'm going to have a great weekend (especially if the army evacuate us lol)
love Crazy_girl xx
Where abouts are you crazy_girl? I'm in Leeds and the road next to ours flooded but we are higher up so we were ok. Not looking forward to the weekend though as it is supposed to chuck it down again and I'm not sure that we'll be able to get out of the village!
We had it bad in Yorkshire, I live in Leeds too, I've never ever seen it flood anywhere near as bad as it did. Thank god we live on a hill!
A joiner from work was working in Sheffield when the city centre was flooded. He had to be rescued by boat and was taken to Sheffield arena where he had to stay until he could get back to Leeds. His van was seen on the news floating away...to which we had every flipping recruitment agency in the country ringing us up asking if they could supply us with any labourers as they knew we were working in Sheffield!? ð ðĪŠ
:kiss:Im glad that everyone is ok crazy_girl i hope you don't need to go through with the evacuation and the rain doesn't fall as much as what they are saying thinking of you all anyway xxxxxxxxxxxxx
OH just saw on the news Victoria in Australia is flooding at the moment lots of little towns being evacuated geez its pretty bad!
I was supposed to be running the race for life on Sunday but they have cancelled it until the end of the month...when I'm on holiday grrr! The forecast is really poor for the weekend so the have postponed it. I'm going to have to transfer to a race in York instead as I can't get in any others locally!
