Baby Food
Hi ladies & Gents
Let me introduce myself, my name is Danny and I have been a chef in London Uk for the past 15yrs, working in top end restaurants and hotels etc.
Anyhow My wife and I have a 10 month old Babby called Isabelle.
Being a chef I find it very disheartning at all of the useless baby foods out there. NOT 1 manufacturar has a meat or fish yield content over 12% (dogs and cats get more!)
So with this in mind I've decided to get some sort of a business together which will offer Freshly made baby food (all stages of growth), this is delivered to your door once a week via a refridgerated van (S/London for now!).All foods would adhere to current food safety directives and also portioned into tamper proof containers etc.....
Now I know that this service would not suit some mothers as they will wish to source or prepare their own babies foods due to not working blah blah.
My wife did try to but then found it too much to batch cook everything aswell as hold down a full time job etc. Hence now i'm doing it!! he he what fun creating all these flavours for Isabelle to discover.
What I'm asking all of you out there is, how many of you would actually seriously think of using this service if it were in your area etc?
Thanks in advance everyone and happy parenting.
Danny & Isabelle
i would have used it in a flash when Amy was younger as i quickly run out of ideas to try 😊
Also less time cooking would have meant more time napping for me 😀
It sounds like averry goot idea, I made most of my own and dident like using jars/tins but did if I was going out. For me it would all come down to the price they would be 😊
i think its a great idea. i opted to make my own rather than use jars cos of the additives and preservitives that they contain. i guess its cos im fussy myself with food that i wanna know exactly what is in hers
sounds like a brill idea.
what a great idea 😀 I made all my own and froze it in ice cube trays but like Buttercup says I ran out of ideas. I also remember helping my sister when her twins were weaning and i never seemed to be able to make enough
What a fantastic idea! I think I would have definitely used it (obviously if the price right).
I went back full time 5 months after having my daughter, fortunately she wasn't fussy to begin with, just is now!
When I had my son I tried my best to cook most of his food but still used jars for convenience but tried my best to give him organic/no additives where my budget would let me as I read an article when I was pregnant with him about what was put in to our foods and it scared me to death!
Good luck xx

I guess a lot would come down to the price though...
luv R x
i think that its a great idea. i used jars on my DD she now eating proper food now which is better but I used jars because im quite a fussy eater so i dont eat alot of veg etc i dont know how to cook them sounds stupid but i not eaten them since i can remember so i found jars i went for the organic jars a big help because it had many types of veg in it and then when izzy goes to her grandparents gave her vegs etc, also being on my own with her it can be hard work to get the energy to even cook yourself dinner so a service like that would be amazing on my part as a single parent obviously it would also depend on the prices of it and whether it worked out cheaper to do or to buy the jars as they are regularly on offers in the supermarkets down here.
i hope that makes sense
