Buggy buggy buggy buggy gaaaaa which one????????
Hello! Sorry if this is a bit of a boring thread..... I just really don't wanna waste money buyin the wrong thing...
Please help - I have to buy a buggy for ma hols tomorrow. It's between two, and I really can't decide.
One of them is a dark red Maclaren, is light and seems sturdy enough. It doesn't sit up very straight, but I reckon I can stuff a jumper behind it if she really seems unchuffed. Hubby likes this one, cause it's light and folds up neatly. I'm worried cause it doesn't have a big foot rest, she'll be sleepin in it in the evenings til we go back to our room, and her wee legs will hang down. What do you think - is this a big deal? I know I feel more comfortable with my feet up...
The other one is a 'Mamas & Papas'. I'm loath to give them the money... my main pramette/buggy is M&P and it's not been great... But this is a completely different model. It's light (but not as light as the other one). It's lilac (yey) and has a foot rest (yey). It also has a wee pocket on the hood for girly guddle to be stashed...

Anyone who can be bothered to have a looky - please let me know what you think.
Oh - does anyone have either of these??? Your comments would be fab...

The only main difference is the footrest thing and the weight... gaaaaaad my life canny be complicated if this is my only problem hehehehhe
hey hun hard to decide isnt it! i like the mamas and papas one but i do see there isnt a little hood thing on it! which i like my buggies to have, shade lo from the sun a little more! i do like the maclaren as this has a hood, i had a maclaren but mine was the slightly more expensive 1 which is £109, and to be honest i didnt really use the footrest, i think if i had to choose i would go for the maclaren especially if it is lighter! but obviously the choice is yours hun! good luck deciding! xxx
Ta miaruby 🙂
it has a hood... think they sell it separately in some shops. Deffo think there should be a hood - especially on holiday...
The Mothercare one is great 😀
My sister has it and it is comfy for baby and easy to push. Her LO has a good sleep in it. It has a strap so you can carry it on your shoulder when it is folded away
Ladybug said:o rite hun didnt know this as there wasnt 1 on the picture, however i would still go with the maclaren as they are very sturdy and good value for money! xxx

Difference of opinion from me: I would go for the mamas and papas one. I have one of the pliko buggys and love it and this one does look fab and I would want a footrest for my little ones when they are asleep.
I love the colour of this one too 😀

they look like the same buggys apart from colour of fabric and the wheels , looks like mamas and papas copied a bit off good old mclaren there. unless maclaren has made the buggys for mamas and papas .. the mamas and papas one is cheap ..
you should try http://www.kiddicare.com excellent and fast delivery plus free delivery with items costing £50.00 or more .. i bought a mclaren quest from there last year £69.00 excellent .. it was not 2006 season one but it was just as excellent and a bargain , mothercare is very over priced and delivery is expensive plus there delivery is slow..
i would personally go for the mclaren its born to last , ive always had mclaren for my little lot.. ive got another mclaren quest one for my other daughter and thats over 4 years old and still growing strong .. i can say this ive never had mamas and papas but a lot of people do have them.. so they must be pretty good..
for robustness i would recommend mclaren , but all in all its your choice ,, but if i were you i would shop around there are plenty of baby shops on this internet and you could grab yourself a bargain .. dont just stick with mothercare..
see you from kerry..
Might be too late but I would definately go for the Mclaren. We came back from our holidays this morning and I took last seasons version of it and it was fantastic. It was light, dead easy to fold, Millie seemed comfy in it even when she was asleep. It doeesn't sit up that straight but she seemed to quite enjoy lying back and chilling a bit, it was also easier to keep her in the shade because she was a bit further back. My brother has the same pushchair and their's has been just as good. Hope this helps, Kerry
i like the mclaren one but would look in argos for one as they are usually cheaper 😀
Bought the maclaren one. Thanks girls 😀
