its a year today since my 3 yr olds open heart surgery

hi there i just wanted to share with you all how happy i am. its been a yr today since my 3 yr old DD had open heart surgery. I am so happy and proud as we didnt think she would make it to this yr last yr and she is here will us doing really well and starting school in september 😀

A friend's 7 year old daughter has to have open heart surgery in a couple of weeks to correct a faulty valve. She is very scared and nervous. Can you offer any advice?

hi hunni i might sound horrible when i say this but im not being honestly but nothing can compare you for it it is horrible i still have nightmares. But i can say after she has got through the first day after the operation things get better very quickly the worse is when they go in to intensive care straight from theatre they are normaly in there for the first day then they go on to the high dependency ward for there things get better quickly my little girl had her operation on wednesday and was home on that sunday. which hospital is she going to? if its alder hey in liverpool they are brilliant and very careing they also offer you pics to look at to prepare yourself for what your child will be like after surgery it is best to look at them hunni coz i turned them down coz i was scared of what i would see but i wished i had coz i wouldnt have had the shock as much as i did when i seen her after the surgery. if you need anymore advice if i can help hunni i will coz i know how bad it feels not knowing what is going to happen just send me a message and i will get back to you asap x x x
