Help with eczema

This is for me not my daughter. I have had dry eczema ever since i can remember and I have tried nearly every single product that the doctors prescrive the ointments the steriods the bath stuff you name it Ive probably tried it and I found they all seem to work for maybe a week or 2 and then it doesnt seem to have any effect.

The only product that seems to work for me is body shop's hemp hand protector moisturiser thing is this is like £9 a tube and i can get maybe a months worth of use out of it and I find that for a bit of time this can also stop having an affect, I need to find another product to use when this one stops having an effect.

I have no idea where to look as I have tried so many products, does anyone at all have any suggestions as im completely clueless now and my doctors are no help..

i suffer from eczema have done all my life since birth , i use betnovate rd cream . and for the clothes aldi non-bio and conditioner surcare , surcare conditioner is not easy to get hold of , i used to get it from tesco's then aldi sold it , nows its sainsburys..

also for washing i use simple soap and for my hair vosene .

i dont use soap on my face because it just irritates it and i cant touch washing up liquid no sooner have i used it im itching..

your eczema needs to be sorted if you have tried everything over the years , im allergic to almost every sort of cream/ointments/bath stuff the lot.

my skin is very sensitive..

im allergic to dogs/cats/dust mites.

im here for advice if you need..

My little one suffers from eczema and I put it down to the washing powder. I was advised to use Simply non bio which you can get from the Co-op and Sainsbury's. I found that it really made a difference. I have just read on their website that there is a new Simply Pure product which is their most sensitive washing powder yet. Definately worth a try I think!

have u looked 4 the cream u use on ebay??? maybe worth a try..might b cheaper too

my lil bro was just rediagnosed with having eczema and the stuff hes just used for the past month has cleared it. il find out what it is called maybe you can speak to your drs about getting it.

I am a sufferer (especially when I am stressed)

The only washing powder I can use is fairy non bio (no softner) and I only use the simple bath products (and can very occasionally use some of the body shops stuff but not all the time) I think the hemp stuff is fab and it does help- its a shame you cant get it on prescription.

I don;t change any products I use (I stick with what I know works)

It depends from person to person.

When i'm stressed or run down i get it on my hands and Nivea cream seems to work ok.

The best way is to chil for a few days (if that's possible)
