Urgent Help Needed: Keeping the Pacifier in Place
Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing well! As a new mom, I'm facing a pressing issue with my newborn: keeping the pacifier in place. I've only tried the Giggly Tots Pacifier Holder from Amazon, which helps a bit, but it’s not quite enough. My little one gets fussy when the pacifier slips out, and I really need a more reliable solution.
I would appreciate any tips, tricks, or alternative products that have worked for you. Your insights would mean a lot to me. Thank you for your kindness and support!

Hi there! You're definitely not alone—keeping a pacifier in place can be surprisingly tricky with a newborn. A few things that might help:
- Pacifiers with a curved shield or orthodontic shape (like Philips Avent Soothie or MAM) often stay in better.
- Try a WubbaNub or plush pacifier—the weight of the attached plush animal can help it stay in place.
- Check the fit and nipple shape—sometimes babies prefer a specific style, and switching brands makes a big difference.
- When your baby is calm, try gently holding the pacifier in place until they learn to keep it in on their own (usually improves with time!).
- Use pacifier clips carefully (making sure they’re short and safe) to prevent it from falling too far when it pops out
You're doing a great job, and this phase does get easier—hang in there! 💛
Try using a pacifier clip to keep it nearby and prevent drops. If your baby keeps spitting it out, check the nipple shape—some babies prefer orthodontic or round types. You can also gently hold it in place until they learn to suck consistently. Make sure they’re calm and not too hungry when offering it.
