Let's talk financial issues as a couple
How do you handle financial issues as a couple?
Have you thought of a financial advisor?
We both have our own money and our own accounts. In addition, there is a joint account from which joint mandatory expenses go. My husband pays more than me because he wants to (he's a traditionalist). We use our own money where we want, we don't interfere with each other's money. I am not dependent on my husband's money, we are equal. We intend to raise our children to be self-sufficient and not dependent on their spouses or their wealth.
finally someone discuss on this topic, financial advisor is not so necessary as long as there is great mutual understanding and respect among both.
My partner and I have had our share of money-related stress, especially when unexpected expenses come up. We’ve found that open, judgment-free conversations about budgeting, savings, and long-term goals help a lot. We also make sure to check in regularly instead of waiting until there’s a problem. A financial advisor could be helpful, but for now, we rely on budgeting apps and setting clear priorities together. Curious to hear how other couples manage their finances, any tips that have worked for you?"
