planning our wedding but...
do you have to be cristened to get married?
Possibly if you want to in a church, but never having been married myself I wouldnt know for sure. You could always have a civil marriage if it is the case and sometimes they can be just as good as a church wedding. Hope someone can give you a more definite answer

not all churches insist you are christened (not in Scotland anyway), but you will probably have to attend for a certain amount of time prior to getting marries.
Phone the minister where you want to get married and ask

Neither myself or hubby are christened and we got married in The Unitarian Church. They aren't as strict as many specific religious denominations. When one of hubby's brothers got married in a different church he had to go to lots of services and be baptised. Just depends where you go.
It does depend on the church the one we were going to have said as james was that as long as we both attended the churce a few times it wouldent be a problem x x
We had to be christened but I'm not sure any checks were actually made to make sure we were as we just told the vicar we were.
we got married in a moravian church (so the fact I was five months pregnant was kept V. quiet, good job I didn't show till I was six months!! 😏 )
We didn't have to be there to have our bands read either. I think it depends on where you get married.
I know it's a big thing if you are having a catholic wedding, a guy form work had to go to guidance classes before they were married and go to church every sunday but I think they had a very religious family.

we got married in a christian church, don't know if it applies to all churches or whether its at the discretion of the vicar but one of us had to be christened, luckily my hubby had cause i wasn't.
