My kid started to vape. Does somebody has the same problem?
Hi everybody!
I would like to share with you guys. I have 15 years old kid. Yesterday I discovered he has the vaporizer. He has been vaping for half a year. How blind was I...
To be honest with you, I don`t know anything about vaporizers or liquids. I read some useful information about them on Vapingdaily. But could you please explain to me. Is it the same as smoking? Or healthier?
I see people vaping around me in the middle of my city from time to time. Is it legal to do it around everyone? And how bad it is for the 15 y.o boy?
as far as I am aware it is not dangerous for him to be vaping, however if he was smoking real tobacco then that would be scary, I started smoking at 14 and trust me the addiction was hard and health problems so as long as he isn't smoking then let him vape, the thing is he much have been smoking prior to the vaping or is it that he just took up vaping?
No, I don`t think he smokes or will change vape to smoking real cigarettes. But to be honest, these eliquids which he vapes scares me a little) What is that? What are the components of it?
It’s understandable to be worried, but the first thing to do is have an open conversation with your son. Let him know you’re concerned about his health and ask him why he started vaping. It’s important to approach the topic with understanding rather than judgment, which can encourage him to be honest with you. You might also want to educate him about the potential risks of vaping, especially at his age, when his body and brain are still developing. It’s not the same as smoking, and while it’s generally considered less harmful than cigarettes, it’s not without risks, particularly for young people.
Vaping has been a good alternative for people trying to quit smoking, like me, but it's definitely not something for kids. I used to smoke regular cigarettes, and switching to vaping was a life-saver for me in breaking that habit. However, for someone your son’s age, the risks far outweigh any potential benefits. You're definitely not alone — many parents are going through the same thing, and it can be really worrying. Vaping has become quite common among teens, partly because of peer pressure and how it's marketed as "safer" or flavored. The first step is to try and stay calm and open — starting a non-judgmental conversation with your child can go a long way. Ask them why they started, what they think about it, and listen more than you speak at first. Education is key too — gently share the health risks, especially around addiction and lung issues. If you're struggling to get through or need extra support, talking to a school counselor or pediatrician might help. You're not a bad parent — this is a tough situation, and you're doing the right thing by looking for advice.
