Uni? Did ya? Didn't ya?
I've noticed quite a few folks have mentioned uni on here.
So - what're y'all studyin? Or, what did ya study?
Sorry - I'm a right nosey parker...
I did my Degree at Abertay, DUNDEE in Behavioural Science. I am currently at Aberdeen University doing my PGDE in Primary teaching 😀 5weeks to go 😀
I went to Bradford Uni to study Chemistry with Pharmaceutical and Forensic Science. Got glandular fever at the end of the first yeat and ended up having to resit, did the second year and then dropped out 😊 I have a diploma in Life Sciences from the OU and I am currently studying for a BSc in Psychology (when Millie lets me)
I am nosey too, what about you, it's no good asking all us lot and not dishing the dirt yourself 😜
oh aye, doh!
Did BA English Language and Literature @ Glasgow Uni, then the Secondary BEd at Jordanhill (Strathclyde)

I'm just coming to the end of an utterly dull intorduction to social sciences course at the OU (the content is nothing like the description that made me do it!)
but come october (or perhaps feb depends in monies) I will be starting my Psychology degree, considering mixing a bit of criminology in there, not sure yet.
I have to pay back a Student loan overpayment, as the OU wont help with my funding for that whilst in still in 'default' to the student loans company.
Luckily i could afford the course i am doing now as it was only just over £500. I think my next year is closer to £1000 tho, and my student loan is only £700, so it makes sense to pay that and not the new course fees! lol
Once again, my stupid illness has left me with a matter of days to do my 6 week unit in. Plus im battling a flu bug with everything i have so they dont cancel my surgery on tuesday!
Sorry, rant over! lol
Hipmomma, what course do you want to do next year? If it is Exploring Psychology the fees this year are £565 (assuming you are in the UK) Do you have an OU Student Budget account? This lets you pay your fees a bit at a time and I have found it really useful. Hope this helps, enjoy the rest of your course, Kerry

I was never clever enough to go that far in education. I would love to do employment law but have no time for myself to do anything so cant see me realising that dream 🙁

I did Art and Art History at Anglia University in Cambridge. I got glandular fever at the beginning of my third year which relapsed in the third trimester, and although I managed to cobble together my dissertation I hadn't gained enough credits throughout the year to acheive my degree so I have a HND instead.
I hated the course! Me and my best mate were the youngest on it and they were too set on developing a particular abstract 'Art School' style, which I didn't conform to (art is about expression and not conformity for me!) I painted more realistic images.
I'm glad I went, I gained a fabulous best friend and plenty of confidence!

I wanted to go to Uni and had a wheels in motion to go but I hated sixth form, couldn't get on the a level courses I wanted and umm...spent too much time in the pub 😠
I left with 3 A1 levels and would love to train as a midwife (although worried my enthusiasm will be worn away after watching panorama)!
I wanted to originally study Geology at York Uni and they were really interested in me, until they spoke to my sixth form tutor who told them I would struggle to reach the grades they wanted, obviously I then gave up on my dream. 😠
Bedhead said:I cant get the budget account, as you have to pass a credit scoring check, and I dont. Bad credit history and no employment. Makes me mad tho. Its people with potentially bad credit and no money that need this service! But you have to be pretty good financially to be allowed to pay in instalments!
