Jogging with twins
Hi. I’m expecting my twins very soon. During all pregnancy months I spend my time exercising because I read here that it’s useful to do that. Since I get into exercising I wonder how I could continue exercising with my new born twins. I would like to start jogging, but I’m not sure from where to start. First, I would like to ask if someone of you tried jogging with new-borns? I know that you need to get a special stroller for it, so I’m wondering about the age that is required for these strollers. I searched a little bit on the internet and found here that there are strollers that a suitable for jogging with twins. I would like to hear your opinion.
Having a baby can be tough without family around. Joining some local parenting groups in Paris could really help with support and make you feel more connected.
I love the ambition but with newborns you’ll need to wait a bit before jogging. Most guidance is to wait until around 6 months, when they have strong neck and head control.
And yes, you’ll definitely need a proper jogging stroller designed for twins — the suspension and stability are really important.
In the early months, a lot of people stick to walking first (which is still great exercise), then build back up to jogging later.
Also worth checking with your doctor before starting again, especially after a twin pregnancy. You’ll get there, just maybe not straight away.
