Overweight Babies

We take my son to a play area every weekend and last weekend, there was an overweight baby who came to play as well. His mother struggled with him and the boy himself struggled to participate. I felt sorry for them because he seemed to be so much work.

How can you help an overweight child who is below 3 years?
