What I liked most
The Braun ThermoScan 7+ is reassuring because it is quick, clear and easy to use when a child is upset or sleepy. The Age Precision feature helps take some of the guesswork out of interpreting a reading, while the pre-warmed tip feels more comfortable than a cold probe. The night light and silent mode are genuinely useful for checking a temperature without fully waking a baby or toddler.
What could be better
Ear thermometers need careful positioning, so there is a small learning curve if you have only used forehead or underarm models before. You also need probe covers, which is an extra ongoing cost and one more thing to remember when restocking family health essentials.
