What I liked most
The Elvie Pump is expensive, but its appeal is obvious as soon as you need to express without being tied to a socket or a large pump unit. It sits inside a nursing bra, is comparatively quiet, and gives parents far more freedom to move around while pumping. The app guidance is helpful, the parts are straightforward to assemble once you have done it a few times, and the wearable design can make expressing feel less like stopping the whole day. For parents pumping regularly, the convenience is a major strength.
What could be better
The price is high, and fit is crucial: getting the right breast shield size makes a real difference to comfort and output. It also has more parts to clean than the simplicity of the design first suggests, so it is not maintenance-free.
