Zhyaire

What does Zhyaire mean?

Zhyaire is a stylised version of Zaire, which is derived from the Kongo word nzadi, meaning “river that swallows rivers.” Zaire was the name of a major African river and a former country (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). The “Zh-” beginning and added “y” reflect contemporary phonetic stylisations aimed at making names feel more lyrical and distinctive.
