Bigger or smaller than you expected?
Im 5 1/2 months now (22weeks) and I feel like im already 7 months. Maybe its because I will finally have a son, I dont know but I gain more weight faster than past pregnancys. I feel like I am carrying a basketball in the front and looking like mama got back from behind. I have always been slim or average so this pregnancy is taking me by surprise and making it harder to get around. Especially unwanted rashes in my inner thighs.
Who else is surprised how big or small there bodys are conpared to what they expected? Does/did it bother you?
With both of my pregnancies, I only gained about 16 pounds. As I was already overweight before I got pregnant, it was good that I didn't gain more. Each one was different though in how I carried them. With daughter, I carried her all around so I didn't really look pregnant until I was in the last month. However, with my son, I carried him all in front and I started showing much earlier than in my first pregnancy. It was much harder to carry in this fashion because I had all the weight in front and it seemed to be more. It was definitely harder to walk the further I progressed. I find it funny and amazing how are body can accommodate this weight like it does.
I noticed this too with my daughters I didnt really have the big old baby bump even if I have a slim figure. But now I am only 5 months and my little boy seems to be huge. I am kind of worried that he will be a big baby. I am average but my hubby is a big guy.
I gained a few pounds and was encouraged by the doctor to gain more. I was told boys consume more while in the womb and they would even suck more than baby girls when born.
Be prepared Akiram13! A big guy may be born soon.

Oh man my partner is a big guy so I can only imagine what his little mini me would be like and all my girls were greedy little suckers hahaha I keep losing weight I know I should be concerned but I rather not go snooping for more problems
My bump was really pretty small, especially in comparison to some of my friends at the time. I think my thighs grew a fair bit, though! I've always been heavier on the bottom than the top, so I guess any time there's going to be weight gain that can happen. I lost it all pretty quickly because I stayed pretty active during my pregnancy - I walked a lot, I did water aerobics a couple of times a week, and things like that. My daughter was 7lb 2oz when she was born so I was happy with that.
