I'm always shopping at the same stores for my kids' clothes. My youngest is 6 and will wear anything so I mostly shop at The Children's Place when they have sales. My oldest is now 13 and likes American Eagle Outfitter and Aeropoastale. Where do you like to shop for kids clothes? Do you wait for sales?
A whole host of places, really! Old Navy, H&M baby, Carters - those are probably the main ones if we're buying new things. We've also been fortunate to get quite a few things as gifts and great quality hand me downs from family and friends, so we haven't had to buy all that much extra stuff - mainly just supplementing what we already had.
I always try to shop in advance so that I can just shop clearance items and have them ready for the season...buying things like winter coats on big clearance prices is helpful!
I have learned not to spend a lot of money on kids clothes. I usually hit up the thrift stores just because my son totally destroys his clothes. The fact that they grow so incredibly fast is another reason I try to be thrifty.
My kids grow out their clothes so fast that I can hardly keep up. I mostly buy their clothes from the thrift stores where you can find really nice clothes and sometimes they even have brand new items there. I was able to find my son some new shorts for this summer and they even had new packs of underwear. Everything was really cheap so that is always a bonus. A lot of times they have name brand clothes that are in really good condition so that is nice because they have a higher resale value for when they grow out of them.
There are two categories of stores I shop for my kid. The casual play clothes are purchased from budget stores while the clothes for outings and school are from designer stores. I do like the idea of my kid standing out among his peers and I never have to worry about him out-growing his clothes, there is always the option of giving out to those in need and that makes me happy.
