I want so much to have a daughter. I don't want to nor could I afford to pay to go the IVF direction but I want a way to increase my odds of having a girl. Now I don't want to go down the old wives tail road instead I want something with some reach behind it showing it has been effective in helping to pick the gender of your child.

The only thing I have found to have some scientific backing behind it is the Shettles Method but again it's not guaranteed. It's all about timing it right in his method, because the male sperm swim faster but the female sperm swim slower but live longer. There's a lot of information online about his method and about timing it right, you can even get some free phone apps that tell you when to try for a boy or girl using the Shettles method in relation to your ovulation date.

It's interesting but I think there's a fair share of scepticism about it too.

Amelia88 is right; that is the only alternative to IVF method. Who knows, if you combine the Shettles Method with attracting what you really want, you may have a baby girl. Good luck and keep us posted so we can learn from your quest.

If I knew what to tell you on how to conceive a girl I would. I have three daughters. I am in 2nd trimester with my fourth. My prayers have been answered and I will be having a boy this time. One the sperm will decide the gender of baby. I don't believe in the position gives the gender. But if it helps most positions we did for past three daughters, missionary, doggy, and standing. I hope you will have your girl.
