Don't give up, we finally concieved after 8 years!
Hi everyone,
Well I first joined this forum in absolute dispair as we were unable to conceive. We have a 20 year old, got married and wanted more children. To cut a long story short...told nothing wrong by 'experts', tried for years, told still nothing wrong, 3 failed ivf attempts, told something may be wrong!, told to forget having children as it wouldn't happen, moved on and eventually decided to apply to adopt after many years of grieving for the children we wouldn't have. Applied and was put on fast track so I went to the doctors for birth control. Told by doctor she couldn't recommend me for adoption....wait for it...I was pregnant! Over the moon (tinged by a feeling of guilt for the child out there that may have been our son/daughter). We now have a beautiful daughter, a Christmas baby! My message is one of hope. I hope you all get the child you desperately yearn for, whether it's natural, ivf or fostering/adoption and DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!! And a massive thankyou for advice from other parents in the same situation. x
As I said, congratulations!!!!!! It is a real support for all of us..Good luck dear!

Fantastic, what a joy. Maybe proof that when you stop trying and causing yourself the stress IT HAPPENS!
Wow, that's amazing! Congratulations and all the best for the next 9 months! x
This post just gave me hope. I know this was posted a few years back, but it never hurts to hear of someone else who has had issues getting pregnant and it finally happen. When God wants it to happen, it will. Congratulations on your baby!
I agree, do not give up! My husband and I tried for 4 years and has two miscarriages along the way. I was for sure we weren't going to have another baby, and felt it was my fault. We decided to be happy with the baby we had. A year later to our surprise I was 12 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby! Just when we gave up hope, we were blesses.
Oh wow! That is so awesome. Congratulations! I hear the whole...we stopped trying and then it happened. I was told that the more I dwell on it, the harder it may become to even get pregnant. Thank you for sharing your story. It makes me happy to know there is still hope!!
Congratulations!!! I've been waiting for 16 years. Should I still wait?
