I am trying to get Jess to have her milk from a bottle during the day ready for when I return to work but she's not having any of it
This might sound daft but does breastmilk change in taste when it's been frozen? Wondered if that was an issue but then I also think that where she's been to the childminder a couple of hours this week Jess is a bit worried. She hasn't had a bottle of anything since she was 3 months old and I can understand that all this change at the moment is probably upsetting her a bit but does anyone have any tips on how to encourage her to accept a bottle again?
Much appreciated,
Lou x
what bottles are you using ?
you might need to try a different brand/teat. I found the tommee tippee closer to nature ones very nipple like and they did not cause any confusion for us
They are the ones I've been using, she had milk from them 5 months ago but she won't drink from them now

Why don't you spoon feed? All babies will take a spoon, it does take them a little while to learn how to swallow without swallowing air though. If she has any teeth, use a plastic or rubber spoon so she doesn't hurt her teeth if she decides to bite down. There is cup feeding as well, for this you have to cradle the baby, preferably swaddled to restrict movement, then you tip the cup slightly so the milk touches her lips, when she opens her mouth leave it to allow her to taste the milk, then if she accepts tip it a tiny bit more so that when she sucks she can just about bring milk into her mouth. You cannot tip any milk in her mouth though otherwise she will choke and splutter.
no idea babe mine seemed to do it right away hunni
hope u manage to sort something though babe x
I breastfed all three of my children, and all three never used a bottle, ever! Even if I pumped my milk, they treated the bottle like it was a wild animal I was trying to put in their mouth. My last two were the worse. I couldn't even drop them off at the grandparents house for a break, because no one would ever take a bottle. I ended up going online and buying some very pricey bottles that were suppose to mimic my nipple shape, and those proved to be a huge flop as well. My kids were so spoiled on the boob.
