negative blood tests...now an ultrasound...any advice??

Hi everyone, i am new to just parent and am looking for some advice.
I have been TTC since September, just after a smear test (all clear). I haven't had a period since, it will be 12 weeks now. (never missed a period before, usually regular). Went to the docs, he took some blood tests which all came back clear. I have taken more pregnancy tests which were negative. The past few days I have had very sore nipples, which seem bigger.
The doctor is sending me for an ultrasound scan.
Has anyone else been through anything similar?
I would really appreciate the advice.

Yes, i have poas lots of times! Negative everytime
Never had absent periods before.
It seems a coincidence that it happens just as we start TTC

Hi, I'm in a similar situation.

You could be preegnant and maybe they want to check if the baby is growing in the right place.

My urine pregnancy tests are negative. I haven't had a blood test yet. I'm getting sensitive sore breasts and hurts more now than when period is due, nausea sometimes sickness, wind, weird pains in my stomach low down and pink/brown discharge when period due (sorry about the details). I can't sleep bacause it's uncomfortable. It's really annoying because the bleeding was on and off and not like my period. I'm usually heavy and lasts 5-7 days. I'm irregular so not sure if I'm late. The discharge is pink when i wipe then brown on liner. If I am I would be about 7 weeks along. I'm not sure whether it was another period or implantation bleeding. My last period was the 23 November 2009. I don't know what it could be. Any ideas?

Hi, don't give up! I've just found out that i'm 8 weeks pregnant! So some of those negative urine tests and blood tests must have been wrong!
I started with period like pains and sore boobs and am still getting some stomach pains now.
I would ask your gp for blood tests and an ultrasound scan if they are negative.

I could go to my gp. I'm wondering whether my gp will say that she wont test me because of the bleeding even though it was light and shorter. I wasn't well last night. I felt sick, crying because I was snappy last night, a few twinges in my stomach and still having twinges now.

Hope your right. I'm going to test again. If it's still negative I'll go to my gp.
