Sorry i aint been on for over 2weeks....
I hope everyone is keeping well.
On 28th july i went into hospital to get started as i was 12days over. They started me off on a membrane sweep which i had declined the week before at the midwifes but when i went into the hospital i didnt care and wanted the wee yin out. By 3.30pm i was starting to get period like pains but never thought anything off it. They told me that my cervix hadnt opened and it would be the end of the week before i would have her so i thought am gonna be here for days. As i wasnt in labour they sent mark home at 8pm
By 9.30 i had to buss for a midwife. An auxilary came and i said to her that am so uncomfy (i was lying on the bed, sitting on the bed, sitting on the chairs etc), i had period like pains and i feel like a wanna cry etc. So she disappeared and came back saying that the midwifes were doing there rounds and they'll come to see me (the night shift had started). What seemed like hours at 10pm the midwifes appeared i explained to them. One of them examined me and said oh we need to get you down to the labour ward. I said well you need to get mark and i feel like i wanna push. Cos i was that uncomfy they had to wheel me down to the labour ward cos i couldnt get up to walk. When i got down they said oh your 8cm dialated (they were leaving as a surprise for me).
When mark arrived and the midwife broke my waters (they didnt wanna break them until he arrived). So by 10.30 i was in labour. At 1.22am on the wednesday morning Louise Morgan Falconer was born. She was meant to be called Morgan but we felt it was fate that i went into hospital and went into labour on the 28th july - 2 years to the day that marks mum had died, so i think she had summit to do with it. When she was born she was back to back so that caused me to tear and i lost alot of blood so i needed to get a blood transfusion. So i was in labour say 3 and a half hours and it wasnt quite as bad as what i thought it was gonna be.
Mark says he doesnt want to put me through that again. His words were "when i came into the labour room and saw your arms stretched out and screaming my name it was like you were on your death bed.."
She is a sickie baby but I wouldnt change her for anything.
The reason for my absence
