What pump would you advice?

I am expressing milk off for my DR as I want her to have breastmilk as I feel this is best for her with her being so premmie. I had to have an emergency section at 25 weeks as I went into pre-term labour and everything they did failed to stop the labour. I am using a pump that I have hired from the hospital but I want to buy a pump. With my other 3 children I used an avent iris manual pump and that worked brilliantly but this time around I can't manage to pump using this one and I don't like the feeling of the electric pump but I could get used to it as it is working brilliantly with expressing. I express from both sides at the same time as when DR was born I was also expressing for her sister IG but sadly she passed away after 3 days. I am so confused on what pump to use I woul dlike to get to the point were I am able to express using a manual pump as that would be better for when I am out and about and I need to express as then I don't have to make sure I amhome for a certain time to express.

Thank you all for any advice on a pump it will be really appreciated

Like you, I used the Iris and found it fine. However, I think the best thing if you're getting on well with the hospital electric one would be to look into hiring one. I know a lot of hospitals will do this, especially as you have a little premmie Smile

I hope everything goes well for you hun and so sorry to hear of your loss but sounds like this little one is a fighter!

Thank you for that. The hospital DR is in at the moment has hired me one, it's just I want to buy one so that I can give the pump back ASAP so that I have access to one all the time and I can then get rid of this guilt feeling. I feel like I am taking a pump away from the hospital that some other that is in hospital with the baby. Sounds so silly I know but I panic over the most silly little things at the moment. Like today Ihave had a terrible head-ache so I have refused to go to the hospital incase I have a virus. I have had a rise in tempbut nothing to major

Sadly DR lost the battle last week at 16 days old. I'm bearing up but it is so hard sometime's. With everything that has happened to her I have mixed feelings. Will explain more once I have finally got my head around it all over in loss and bereavement.
