Hi.
My 10yo Daughter sat some tests, she is n year 5 (well goes into year 6 in Sept). She achieved a 5c in reading, 4b in maths & 4a writing. Her teacher said she should be pleased but I don't understand what these levels mean. In her last school before it closed she was doing well. Do these scores mean she still is? I couldn't speak with her teacher as she only came home with them on the last day.
Thank you for any replies I might get

For key stage 2 the results mean,
Levels 2-3 below expectations/struggling
Level 4 At level expected/ what every 11 year old should know
Level 5 Beyond expecations/a bit above average
Level 6 Exceptional
The letters show where her results are within the barriers for her level, so 4A means at the top of the four bracket, 4B at the higher end of the middle, 4C at the lower end of the middle, 4D at the bottom end of a four.
Sounds like she is doing really well and achieving above what she needs to be, considering she has another year before going up to secondary school.
