Hi!
I'm originally from Finland but living now here in UK. I have noticed that we are using colors for babies and toddlers in a bit different way. So I would like to have a poll of colours I find it interesting, I hope you too!
What colors are you choosing for baby boys? Baby girls?
What colors are you choosing for toddler boys? Toddler girls?
What colours toddlers are choosing for themselves? Boys? Girls?
What colors do you avoid for babies/toddlers?
Ammi (I'm new here and I will tell you more about me very soon)

I will answer you questions from my American perspective!
What colors are you choosing for baby boys?Blue Green Orange Baby girls? Pink Purple Yellow
What colors are you choosing for toddler boys?Solid bright colors. Toddler girls? Pastels and soft prints
What colours toddlers are choosing for themselves? Boys?Cartoon Prints and TV show related images Girls? Barbie, Disney Princesses, and dogs and cats
What colors do you avoid for babies/toddlers?Black, White, Adult content and or risky jokes materials, advertising or product branding.

I dress one of my girls in oranges, bright pinks, turquoise and often blue (even a black polka dot dress) etc if poss BUT the other in soft greens, baby pinks, lilacs NEVER blue. I think that is because their colouring and stature is very different.
AS for toys for my boy it was blues, reds, lime greens etc and my girl I tend towards pinks and purples BUT prefer wooden toys anyway.
My 3 year old would choose pink or purple toys and is highly into Tinkerbell but HATES all Bratz (to my relief) and not really into Barbie.
My boy loved Thomas and Toy Story so all toys were either red, blue or green and red and blue are still his fave colours.
How is it different elsewhere?

I've 2 boys aged 1 and 3 in July. As babies they were in blue, white, beige, red, green.
Now as toddlers they're in the same colours but white only with other colours (as they're typical boys and don't stay clean for 2 mins) along with orange, black, brown and grey.
My toddler picks any clothes that have his favourite characters on like Postman Pat or from one of his dvd's like Shrek, Cars, Madagascar.
I only avoid anything that has adult type slogans on. If they were girls i'd also avoid adult type clothing such as tiny skirts or skimpy tops.
As babies i didn't use anything black or pink as they're boys and my husband is very old fashioned that boys have blue and girls have pink.
